The Coalition of Sustainable Communities New Mexico (CSCNM) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization representing & serving New Mexico’s cities, counties & communities.
We are committed to developing and implementing equitable climate and sustainability solutions in partnership with local governments and communities across New Mexico.

CSCNM aligns the policy interests and goals of local governments into one strong and coordinated voice advocating for a sustainable future and building equitable solutions for all New Mexicans.

Community Solar
Community Solar helps communities, individuals, and organizations throughout New Mexico benefit from the development of solar energy facilities. It has the potential to provide solar energy to families regardless of income or building ownership, prioritizing participation of income qualified households.
Resilient Homes NM
CSCNM has been collecting powerful stories from community members and partners about the benefits of energy efficiency. These stories highlight real-life experiences of reducing energy burdens, building resilience, and accessing supportive programs.
New Mexico Climate Investment Center
CSCNM founded New Mexico’s first “green bank”, the New Mexico Climate Investment Center (NMCIC), to lead in equity-focused climate investments.
